Document Handling In AX 2009


Today we will learn how to attach the document(Leave Request Form) to AX2009 and how we can get advantage by using document handling...

Go to the document which you want to attach to AX2009 For EX: I'm using MS Word here.. Add each and every field in the document to the bookmark.It will be use in AX2009 afterwards...

 Save as the document  as Word Template on the desktop or where every you want to...

Okay  then AX2009: Path>> Basic>>Basic Area >>Setup >>Document Management >> Document Type >> Select New button and add Leave Request type by giving the type, Name and Description to the Document Type Form...

Go to General Tab  and click on that,and give the path of the leave request(fill the archive directory field)...See Below.

 Click on the Options Button and create new record by giving table name as HRMLeaveRequest and table Label and template file or Default these fields be appeared...

Go to Fields Tab  create the records for the data fields which you want get in the document Or File by giving the bookmark,And SAVE it.

Go to AX2oo9 >>AOT>> Forms>>HRMLeaveRequest Form >>Open 

Select the particular Record and click on Document Handling  button .

click on NEW Button and select type field as leaveRequest  and SAVE the Record.

After saving the record if you want open the document with details just click OPEN Button.The Leave Form will is now filled with the data of that employee which selected..

Ok then this is process for the document handling which we have to follow...
